After spending nearly 3 hours at Kiyomizudera, we took the buses to Kinkauji. It took about 40 minutes and 2 bus transfers to cross to the other side of Kyoto, arriving at 4pm. The gold leaf in the afternoon light was beautiful.
Whoops! We weren't supposed to take group photos at this spot. Oh well, we will know next time.
