We were taken to Kurashiki Minami High School and had a welcome ceremony. Then after introducing ourselves in Japanese, we met the host families. The students were taken home for their first night in a Japanese home, where they are expected to use the language they have to communicate and learn about life in a Japanese family. Tomorrow we will be at school for the day, until 4:30, much longer than a normal NZ school day.
