Saturday 5th December

Today we went to Nara to see the lagest wooden structure in the world, Todaiji temple. Inside was a giant bronze statue of Buddha. The temple dates back to the 1500s, but earleir versions going back 200 years were destroyed by fire. Outside there were hundreds of deer belonging to the the temple, waiting to be fed by tourists.
